Tell us about your project!
We organize hawk walks in partnership with Kinadapt with the aim to inform the general public about birds of prey. Participants get the chance to hike in the forest with our guides and a Harris hawk and learn more about the art of falconry and nature in general. An outdoor activity that is sure to appeal to everyone!
Be on the lookout for the announcement of our next hawk walk!
Chouette à voir!
Groupe Prévost-Fortin often collaborates with Chouette à voir!, the Union québécoise de réhabilitation des oiseaux de proie (UQROP)’s educative program, in organizing outreach activities. UQROP is a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve birds of prey and their natural habitats within the province of Quebec. Their team of veterinarians provide proper treatment to wild birds of prey that are injured, sick or orphaned, with the objective of releasing them back in nature when it is possible. We are proud to offer educative activities by their side and to support the organization in its mission.
If you find an injured, sick or orphaned bird of prey, contact the Clinique des Oiseaux de Proie at 514 345-8521 poste 8427 (or outside office hours at 450 778-8111) to get instructions on how to get the bird to them.
If you find a dead bird of prey, it is obligatory to declare it to the Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks at 1 877 346-6763, or outside office hours to SOS Braconnage at 1 800 463-2191.
